James Carroll was seriously injured in a car wreck along I-75. He hired a local southeastern Kentucky lawyer, who missed the statute of limitations. AMLO took the legal malpractice case against the lawyer. AMLO tried the case on July 26, 2007, and asked the jury to award $620,000 in damages against the lawyer. The jury did exactly what AMLO asked them to do, and awarded, to the penny, the amount claimed.
